Call for applications: Workshop on Transdisciplinary Methods in Higher Education and Research for Sustainable Development.

The workshop will take place in Bishkek from 16 to 19 June 2025.

Deadline for applications is 15 March 2025.

The SPCE Hub together with the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, the Intersectoral School of Governance BW Heilbronn and the Hochschule Karlsruhe is organising a workshop on transdisciplinary methods in higher education and research. The workshop is aimed at lecturers and researchers from universities and research institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The workshop will be held at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek from 16 to 19 June 2025. The trainers are proven experts in transdisciplinarity in teaching and research: Prof. Dr. Monika Gonser (ISoG BW, Heilbronn), Prof. Dr. Jochen Eckart (HKA Karlsruhe) and Dr. Thorsten Philipp (TU Berlin).

The aim of transdisciplinary education and research is to integrate academic and non-academic knowledge and transfer it into the context of real-world challenges in order to develop practical solutions and generate new academic knowledge.

The SPCE Hub is an intercultural research facilitator and ‘think & do hub’ for transdisciplinary Living Labs with a focus on energy transition, mobility and inclusive development.
