Central Asia Network for Clean Energy Living Labs

reachout phase 2021-2023

The Network serves as a platform for outstanding experts from Central Asia who are committed to energy transition, clean energy for all and resilient communities. The network experts come from diverse sectors, such as business, academia, expert organizations and NGOs.

Institutional partners are – amongst others – the OSCE Academy in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and the Intersectoral School of Governance at DHBW University (Germany). The first network meeting took place online on 28 October 2021. The second meeting was held on 26 April 2022 at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek with participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Germany.

This meeting was jointly co-funded by the OSCE Academy in Bishkek and the SPCE Hub. We will publish a report about the two workshops on this page.

Next steps

Members of the network currently develop a multi-national Living Lab
project on hybrid and off-grid clean energy systems in rural areas. We also plan a study trip to visit energy-related Living Labs research projects in Germany.
