Visist to the Strategy Development Center and New Uzbekistan University
Members of the SPCE Hub network, Professor Monika Gonser, Professor Jochen Eckart, Saida Yusupova and Dr Sebastian Schiek met with Eldor Tulyakov, Director of the Development Strategy Center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 20 June. The centre is a think tank that, among other things, prepares analyses for the implementation of Uzbekistan’s development strategy. Concrete ideas for joint projects were also discussed at the meeting.
At the invitation of energy specialist Professor Bahtiyor Eshchanov, the delegation visited New Uzbekistan University. Although Professor Bahtiyor was unable to attend the meeting himself, the delegation was received by Oxana Budjko, Head of the International Department, who informed them about the university’s structure, development plans, and cooperation projects.
